The frosty weather is still with us, -5 degrees at noon according to the temperature gauge in the car.
We had a walk up to High Dam today and as these pictures show it has to be cold to freeze running water.

High Dam is every bit as picturesque as Tarn Hows but not quite as busy.

A lot milder this morning.
It was the day for taking the decorations down at Buckle Yeat, we had a walk down to Esthwaite Water this afternoon and the lake is still covered in parts with a thin covering of ice.

A rare shot of the elusive Esthwaite serpent!

The New Year Gang all went home this morning, they said they enjoyed themselves once again, and have booked for next year.
We had a giant jenga game organised to entertain everyone after a few drinks on New Years Eve, it seemed to go down well, especially when I touched it, as the picture sent in by David shows.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OLD AND NEW BLOG WATCHERS.

We had a good night last night and into the early hours.

This morning we awoke to another heavy frost and so this afternoon when we went a walk the camera was busy, I took lots and lots pictures so I have put them on a slideshow on the right of this page, just click on them to enlarge.
Many many e-mails from all over the world wishing us well for the New Year so thanks for that, it,s good to know someone is watching.
