Its my god daughter Ellie, her family had the Tower bank Arms for almost 20 years.

Ellie is all poshed up for her school prom.

Busy busy day, leaking dishwasher to fix, grass to cut and to cap it all a visit from the fire officers, there's always two of them it's like good cop, bad cop, but to be fair they both played good cop (oops they might read this)

At last a bit of settled weather we had a good long walk down passed Eel House and through the woods along the Cunsey road before reaching the footpath along the shores of Windermere, good job we had our wellies on the path was a foot under water for part of the way, we went along Rawlinsons Nab and then back up into Near Sawrey for refreshments

Everything is incredibly green!!We had a 24 hour rain shower yesterday and just managed a dry hour and half for a walk.

Fathers Day today so hope you have all done your duty and given the old boy a ring.

Not the best quality picture but is off my phone, I was just setting up for breakfast listening to the horror stories of floods and deluge further down south when I looked out of the window to see this big Tick for the weather in Sawrey.

Thats it a double bank holiday has been and gone, Sawrey is busier today than any day over the weekend.

We seem to be getting targeted by some junk mail via the comments page, if it does not improve we will have to disable the comment feature, but don't forget we are now on twitter which is easy peasy.

Helen has been very busy this afternoon creating these special jubilee biscuits for the guest bedrooms.
