Near Sawrey

Wednesday, November 02, 2005

When I got back from Kendal after my clip out, me and Helen went for a walk down the dub, we had just set off and the rain started but we soon reached the point of no return so carried on regardless. We reached the church and were relatively dry, we then went into the church yard to look for the tree Mrs Wilson and her family planted in memory of her late husband Eric.
On the way back across the fields all of sudden there was a flash of lightning and a tremendous clap of thunder, the heavens opened and we got soaked to the skin.

This is a clematis which is still in flower and looked out of place in the lakes on a wet day in November.
