A fire engine went through the village this afternoon lights and sirens blaring and when they came back through they stopped at a fire hydrant at the top of the swilling shop and refilled the water tank meaning they had used the hoses somewhere, I am sure we will find out the story in the fullness of time.

This is thrush who is busy building a nest in the clematis at the front of Buckle Yeat.

Fisherman on Esthwaite Water

Flag Iris at the edge of the lake, there seems to be a lot more this year.

The sign says it all.

Apparently it the firemen were attending a vehicle fire on the shores of Windermere no one was injured.
