We had former Foreign Secretary Douglas Hurd in the village yesterday, he and his wife were looking to visit Beatrix Potters Hill Top but it will not be open till next week.
I have some nice pictures of a good long walk we had over the weekend but there seems to be a problem with posting pictures so maybe tomorrow.
There is some awful stormy weather about but up here in Sawrey it has been a pretty decent day.
