Near Sawrey

A misty start but at last no rain no snow and no frost.
We had a walk this afternoon up to Moss Eccles, the tarn still has a covering of thin ice showing how cold it has been.
On the way down we met Paul from the farm who was telling us how his 3 children had been excited about the visit of father Christmas yesterday to the village hall party, his middle girl had noticed Santa arrived and left in my car and came to the conclusion he was staying at Buckle Yeat, of course he was that's the magic of Christmas.

We found a tree heaving in holly berries, the birds have not found it yet.
