What a fantastic day, it was the summer we never had.

All incoming guests told us they would not be arriving till late so we the chance to have a long walk.
We headed to Coniston, parked by the school and set off up the Walna Scar road.
We went through the car park and carried on the track taking you behind Coniston Old Man and past Goats Water which is a tarn that is trapped between Dow Crag and the Old Man. We started the climb to the summit and fantastic views before descending down the zig zag path past Low Water, we could see Levers Water where I believe our water supply comes from.
We continued down past the old mine workings and followed Levers Water beck down into Coniston. No apologies for lots of pictures
