A couple of interesting arrivals today, a Chinese girl who was keen to to put some logs on the fire, to see what it was like!!! and a couple and their young lad who had been up to Cockermouth to pick up a 7 1/2 ton recovery vehicle they had bought on Ebay!! they had their own car on the back of it.
Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey. The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village. Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. Hill Top Farm where she wrote many of her stories is a museum and is open to the public.

Another dry sunny weekend, yesterday I put the recent silver award up and today planted up 7 hanging baskets which will be going out in a few days if the weather warms up.
