A busy night last night, just as I was settling down to watch the football, the central heating boiler failed at Buckle Yeat, I managed to revive it with the help of the engineer on the other end of the phone but in the midst of the action the VisitBritain hotel inspector arrived at the door and the guests mistook him for the boiler repair man. Anyway all was sorted out and he gave us a good report this morning, as for the football, rubbish!! and that is being kind, the only saving factor was I only had to endure the last 15 minutes.

RURAL WHEELS a new way to travel in the area. This is a new initiative from Cumbria County Council, the idea is you buy credits and receive a smart card which you can use to arrange transport to anywhere in the area, you pay 30p a mile and it is deducted from your card, it is aimed at people without access to public transport, Annie from the shop asked me put it on the blog, there is more information up at the Sawrey Stores
