After last years white Christmas this year the colour is grey!! its hardly light during the day.
We did manage a walk up to High Dam on Boxing day which was very nice except the world and his wife + dog had the same idea.
Matthew and Sarah have been with us this year for Christmas but had an horrendous drive back south yesterday afternoon/evening/night, lots of heavy slow moving traffic.

It's been raining all day and so these pictures are from our walk over Claife Heights yesterday.
Last night we had a great night out at the Tower Bank Arms, they had a Christmas get together with quizzes and food, lots of people there and a good night was had by all.

A couple of pictures Helen took yesterday on our way to Kendal, the weather is not pleasant but at least we are not having the snow and frost of last year. There is a lot of snow on the higher ground above Coniston and Ambleside.
Helen and her mum have been busy making lots and lots of mince pies today and I got on with digging in some manure in the garden whilst Denis was on soup duty and made a very tasty leek and potato soup for lunch mmmmmmmmmmm.

Its a wild and wet morning, which is a shame because its the Hawkshead Christmas Fair this weekend, it was all beginning to come to life when I was down getting the papers this morning.
