We have mangaged of couple of good walks between the showers this last couple of days.
We have a big party of Dutch residents in this week for a wedding at the weekend, they were lucky to get here considering the dramas at Schipol Airport yesterday.

We had a couple more famous names staying which I will add to the list, a Mr Chris Evans
and a Mr Da Li (Salvador?)

I had never heard of Nor Moss??

We have had a couple of wet walks these last few days so not much to take pictures of, I hate taking pictures on gloomy days.
At least it is dry this morning I have even managed to cut the grass.
Its Grasmere Sports today and it looks like they will be lucky with the weather.
We have no departures or arrivals today so hopefully we can get a good long walk in, Wray Castle is on the agenda I think.

We had a lot of check outs and so a lot of washing this morning so unfortunately we were unable to make it to Hawkshead Show but after a wet start and even with a rubbish forecast the afternoon was mainly sunny and warm, although I bet it was a bit of a mud bath.
We did manage a walk though, the Cunsey round as we call it.

Hawkshead Show today and I am afraid the weather is not being to kind, we have just had a torrential downpour although as I write the sun is shining.
Sawrey seems very busy this morning and I guess Hill Top will be selling out of tickets this afternoon.
The new web site is up and running and I have been sorting some pictures to put on the gallery page and will be getting them on the site asap.www.buckle-yeat.co.uk

We had a walk to Rawlingsons Nab yesterday, lots of people messing about in boats.

We have had a pretty good few days on the weather front, just a bit short of visitors, everyone is saying the same and the Olympics are getting the blame for the lack of of overseas tourists.
We had the butcher in yesterday bringing the sausages and bacon etc, he was saying they had just sent a big order of hams and sausages to Balmoral  looks like the the Queen will be on packed lunches and Phillips BBQ will be getting fired up.
