Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey. The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village. Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. At last a bit of warmth, the east wind has dropped and the temperatures are rising even the crocus on the wall top are open.
Denis found a big planter full of last years daffodils in the greenhouse we had forgotten to plant in the garden and they were all in full bloom so we dotted them about in the back for an instant shot of colour.

Still very cold as it is everywhere in the country, its about time things started to warm up, having said that it will no doubt rain then!!! never satisfied.
As is often the case at Easter the Tuesday after the bank holiday is the busiest in the village. We had a walk this afternoon and there was lots of people with the same idea.
