Matthew is home for a few days and we have had a couple of long walks this weekend, not today though we have a few guests arriving all day.

The weather here in the lakes is still very cool, we have the odd sunny day but with June around the corner it needs to be warming up soon.

Still look on the bright side, we had some guests in from Texas and they had pictures sent to their iPad of their garden under a foot of water, very reassuring when you are the other side of the Atlantic

A bit of excitement in Near Sawrey this bank Holiday Monday, Micheal Portillo the former politician and now TV presenter was busy for a couple of hours filming in the village for his Great British Train Journey program, snappy dresser don't you think?

A better few days on the weather front and we had a good walk through Castle Wood yesterday, the bluebells are looking good

At last a sunny day in Sawrey it has been a bit miserable these last few days.

The tulips at Buckle Yeat are about at their best and yesterday Denis and I shot of to Kendal and brought back the begonias for the summer baskets which are all now ready in the greenhouse waiting for the weather to warm up.
