The Easter weekend weather so far has been an awful lot better than the forecast, it is still a bit cool but has been mainly dry.
We have had a couple of walks up on Claife.
Matthew and Sarah are up for a couple of days until Monday.

A sunny but cold day, Denis was busy in the greenhouse and we sorted out some new shelving in there. I am planning on a few vegetables this year, never liked gardening but I seem to be getting into it now, must be an age thing,I am busy creating a couple of raised beds.




St Peters and the re-opened Sawrey Stores

A trip to Kendal today for some Easter shopping, before we went we had a quick look for the Sawrey Easter egg to no avail.
Morecambe Bay Shrimps for tea tonight with some crusty bread and wild rocket,delicious!!!

Denis and I had a run down to a nursery near Pilling in Lancashire about an hours trip, to pick up some plants we had ordered,we buy plug geraniums and begonias and grow them on in the greenhouse for the wall tops and hanging baskets.

Helen and I had a walk down to the lake after we got back and just got home before
this storm arrived.

Great news, the clocks went forward last night so British Summer Time is here.
Not so great news, snow and frost forecast for the coming week.
