Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey. The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village. Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. A Sawrey garden.
A better day with plenty of sunshine,we were not to busy but everybody sat outside except one couple, people these days do want to be outdoors.
Everybody had arrived by the time we had shut for teas, the perfect scenario, this meant after an hour in the conservatory with the papers we could take a walk.
We set off into Bishops Wood and then into Castle Wood, we were just talking about the lack of sightings of deer when we saw one, my size 11 shoes do not help me in the stalking of deer so any chances of photographs are a unlikely, this one led us a merry dance but still remained camera shy, honest.
