Near Sawrey

Monday, April 10, 2006

A stunning sunny day, warm in the sunshine but when the clouds covered the sun it was bitter.
We had Heather in to help in the tea-rooms today and it was the busiest day so far, most people sat outside trying to make the most of the sunshine.

Tonight before tea we had a walk down to Esthwaite and on the way saw the new puppies next door at Jimmy & Elizabeths, their grandchildren where there taking charge of them, so we had a chat with them, (the kids not the puppies).
We where on the lookout for an osprey that has been sighted feeding on Esthwaite, it has been seen for a couple of years but as yet we have been unable to catch a glimpse. We did see all manner of wildfowl, geese, ducks, oystercatchers, to name a few.
