It was a wild night and this morning it was a wet and windy Sawrey, we gave up on the idea of a walk and went to Kendal for some supplies, the sun came out and we had made the wrong decision, ah well you can't win every time.

On the road through Graythwaite and onto Newby Bridge there are hundreds of pheasants which are being "prepared" for the forthcoming shoots.
