Boxing day and a dreary start to the morning, but the forecast was good and we really had to get out for a good long walk.
Matthews mate Tangwyn came over early and the two of them headed over to Coniston and climbed Dow Crag then traversed the ridge to the Old Man of Coniston and then back down into the village, we had another plan and drove to Grasmere and headed up Helm Crag aka "The Lion and the Lamb".We then came down into the valley before climbing up to Easdale Tarn. The sun came out and there was lots of walkers out and about.
Sour Milk Ghyll taken from half way up Helm Crag.
