Broadband has been really poor this week so slow!!! We had Simon the BT man in yesterday and he has sorted it thank goodness.

Really misty this morning but a great day now we should get a walk later.

Despite the awful weather the annual Sawrey Marrow Show was a great success, it was at the Tower Bank Arms for the first time and there was a good turnout.

A stunning morning but it has clouded in a bit, last guests just pulling into drive so we will get off for a walk shortly.

Buckle Yeat garden is still doing well and the baskets are fantastic, we grew some Cosmos from seed and they have been a great success with lots of flowers and more to come.

We had a walk the other day and this black cloud was looming so we had to make a quick change of route and head back to Buckle Yeat to rescue the towels on the line before the impending downpour, it soon passed and the sun came out.

St Peters Far Sawrey

Its the annual marrow show this Sunday and due to some other booking at the Braithwaite Hall this years show will be in the Tower Bank Arms

Gates and Stiles today with the odd post thrown in.

Pouring down at the moment but the sun has promised to put an appearance this afternoon, Its the county show tomorrow so the show field is going to take some drying up.

All sorts of activities around today moto-cross near Cunsey, a regatta on the lake, a scooter club has just been through the village and there are signs up for some cycle event phew!!! its all go.

Heritage Day

With check ins and check outs its been a bi awkward getting much walking in, these are a couple of pictures taken with my phone the first is Ambleside from the cross roads at Barngates and the second is a Sawrey sky.

Another sunny day and Hill Top seems quite busy this morning, theses are a couple pictures of some colourful hydrangea bushes in a neighbours garden.

An Indian summer would be nice!!!
