Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey.
The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village.
Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. Hill Top Farm where she wrote many of her stories is a museum and is open to the public.

With check ins and check outs its been a bi awkward getting much walking in, these are a couple of pictures taken with my phone the first is Ambleside from the cross roads at Barngates and the second is a Sawrey sky.
