The classic misty morning view of Esthwaite Water on my commute to work, I cannot resist taking this picture, and its easy to see why.
Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey. The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village. Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. Hill Top Farm where she wrote many of her stories is a museum and is open to the public.

Behold the magic pie! so called because as you remove it from the nondescript brown cardboard box it just seems to grow and grow and look impossible to return to the box ( I am thinking I've mentioned this before)
It was a gift from regular visitors Bob and Pat from Leicester mmmmmmmm
I was dealing with some departing guests the other morning and saw an elderly man standing by the garden wall, he had a shifty look round and then proceeded to tear a large piece of the rockery plant of the wall top and deposit it into a carrier bag!! The cheek of it!
Of course I let him know he had been spotted I think word is SHEEPISH
