Buckle Yeat is situated in the village of Near Sawrey.
The name Buckle Yeat is over 300 years old and it means fasten the gate.In years gone by the gate referred to would be the gate to the village.
Near Sawrey was once home to the children's writer Beatrix Potter about whom the movie Miss Potter is all about. Hill Top Farm where she wrote many of her stories is a museum and is open to the public.

Crazy!! another Bank Holiday is looming, lets hope the good weather holds.
We are quite busy this coming week although we still do have an odd vacancy.
Another big long walk this afternoon its so good to get out and about.
