Hawkshead Christmas Fair a complete washout!! what a shame all that work.
We are all ok but I have never seen so much water on the road between Sawrey and Hawkshead, there are cars abandoned and a lorry has run off the road near Hawkshead, it looks like the driver was driving through the floods and misjudged the edge of the road.
The whole county has taken a battering and we are under the highest environmental flood warning.
Ambleside and Keswick are cut off and lots of abandon cars all over the place, a very nice Alfa Romeo on the Hawkshead road, what were they thinking???. However I did drive to Hawkshead this afternoon and if I had realised how bad it was I would have stayed at home. Sunny tomorrow!!!!
